Senior Safety Consultant

EnSafe is looking for a Safety Consultant to work full-time at client sites in Phoenix, AZ, and Columbus, OH. These roles would be excellent for a seasoned leader with 10+ years of experience, including experience with construction safety.

These positions is responsible for helping lead, and foster a safety-conscious culture in the workplace to minimize accidents and injuries. He/she will help oversee various types of construction projects, assist with the prevention of injuries and other safety-related incidents, and help implement company-established safety/health rules. The Safety Consultant is expected to work closely with site leadership and help manage day-to-day construction-related activities, including preconstruction planning, design review, construction/equipment installation, and project closeout.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Working closely with site leadership to assist in managing overall safety programs for a fully integrated nutritional plant with 300-400 employees.
• Implementing plant safety programs/procedures during construction projects
• Conducting construction site safety audits
• Working closely with line supervision to foster safe work practices
• Develop task-specific job safety analyses for work performed at the facility
• Developing and teaching required safety training sessions

What You'll Need:

• B.S. degree in Safety related field, or 10+ years of related experience preferred
• Some experience with construction safety
• Working knowledge of OSHA general industry and construction standards (OSHA 1910 and OSHA 1926)
• Professional designations (CSP, CIH, CHMM) are a plus
• Excellent oral/written communication skills as well as the ability to interact with a wide variety of people
• Strong initiative and the ability to work autonomously
• Team building skills
• Microsoft Office skills required
• A history of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not required
• Key technical abilities in:
  • Machine Guarding
  • Trenching and Excavating
  • Lockout/tagout
  • Line breaking
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Overhead Cranes
  • Electrical Safety
  • Chemical Safety
