Middle School Math Teacher - Viera Middle

Brevard County's brand-new middle school, Viera Middle School, is seeking an experienced Math Teacher to join their dedicated team of educators. A middle school Math Teacher is responsible for preparing assignments, creating engaging lessons, assessing students' competencies, collaborating with other teachers, and providing timely feedback to students.

Viera Middle School, home of the Owls, is a state-of-the-art, 139,000 square foot educational facility, sitting on 28 acres and boasting high-tech features such as Promethean Boards, three music rooms, and Career and Technology Education (CTE) centered labs including the Robotic and Aerospace Lab, and the Exploring Technology for Tech Design lab.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• FLDOE Certification in Math 6-12 or Math 5-9 is required
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Starting salary: $50,450* + benefits *This includes a 3.5% raise for all instructional staff with an additional 0.5% allocated for pay-for-performance incentives.

Please note salary is based on verifiable years of teaching experience as per District guidelines.

Our voters passed a millage last November and all teachers, from zero to 19+ years of experience, will receive a supplement. The pay ranges based on years of experience, but for a teacher with 19+ years teaching, that's approximately an additional $7,849 in your pocket (pay and supplement are prorated, if you didn't start working in August).
