Nurses onUnit 5E (Medical Oncology)care for many medical oncology diagnoses while upholding the Commission on Cancer Standards. We welcome patients from a variety of medical and surgical specialties.

This21 bedunit is a great place to become an expert generalist, Certified Chemo nurse andanOncology Certified Nurse (OCN) as well as a Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN). The staff and nurses on 5E are highly skilled, motivated, and committed to excellence.

We strive toprovidesafe, quality care bymaintaininga patient-centered approach andleveragingmulti-disciplinary collaboration. The cytoreductive surgery was developed at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. The 5E Nurses alsoprovidenationally certified care to our bariatric surgical patient population.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.

This position has a hiring range of $39.00 - $63.406
