About the role:

The Digital Application Product Owner is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital applications.

This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs and drive business goals.

The Product Owner acts as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that the product delivers maximum value to users.

What you will be doing:

1. Product Vision and Strategy - Define and communicate the product vision and strategy. - Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business objectives and user needs. - Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.

2. Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements. - Communicate product plans, progress, and updates to stakeholders. - Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with the product vision.

3. Backlog Management - Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog. - Write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. - Ensure the development team understands the backlog items and their priorities.

4. Development Process - Work closely with the development team to ensure timely and quality delivery of product features. - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. - Provide clarifications and make decisions to unblock the development team as needed.

5. User Experience and Design - Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create user-centric designs. - Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate on product features. - Ensure the product provides an excellent user experience and meets usability standards.

6. Performance Monitoring and Analysis - Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track product performance. - Analyze data to identify trends, user behaviors, and areas for improvement. - Make data-driven decisions to enhance the product.

7. Release Management - Plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring all teams are prepared. - Communicate release plans and updates to stakeholders and users. - Monitor post-release performance and gather feedback for future improvements.

What you will need:

  • 4-6 years of recent, proven experience in a Product Owner role in digital application development with Metrics of Success

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Aha!).

  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and best practices.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience in Fintech/Banking

  • Experience in mobile product development (iOS & Android)

  • Certification in Agile (e.g., CSPO, PSPO).

  • Experience with data analysis and A/B testing.

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $105,070.00 - $176,520.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
