Apply now Job Summary A postdoctoral position is available in the Barker Laboratory at the Drexel University College of Medicine, in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology. The Barker Lab combines traditional and cutting-edge techniques to investigate the neural circuits that mediate cognitive control and behavioral flexibility in animal models of neuropsychiatric illnesses, including addiction. The successful applicant will have a PhD in neuroscience, pharmacology, psychology, or equivalent. The applicant must be comfortable working with mice and have an interest in investigating the neurocircuitry of neuropsychiatric illnesses using in vivo electrophysiology, chemogenetics, and optogenetics. Experience performing behavioral experiments and stereotaxic surgery in rodents is necessary. Essential Functions

Additional Information This position is classified as an exempt grade I. Compensation for this grade ranges from $ $ 41,120 to $ 61,680 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
