GROWMARK Energy Intern - New Century FS - Ames, IA

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Serves as the Energy intern under the direction of the Energy Sales Manager, trains and assists in the improvement of energy supply chain management and service quality control.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Visit System locations and customers building and maintaining professional relationships.

• Coordinate communication with multi-site contacts, schedule field activities and carry out projects.

• Develop and maintain database of propane bulk plants, retail sites, and refined fuel bulk tanks.

• Survey site to obtain information including but not limited to: tank sizing, photo of tanks, site overhead layout photo, and geo reference through Google Earth.

• Create logical travel plans to complete work flow and travel overnight independently.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

• Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be pursuing an agriculture related degree at a 4-year university with the status of at least a second semester junior or first semester senior in good academic standing at time the internship begins.

• Demonstrates ability to work independently.

• Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.

• Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
