Position Title: General Machinist - 3rd shift
Wage: $18.80/hour Shift: 3rd Hours: 10:00 pm - 06:00 am Let QPS take your career to the next level with this amazing machinist position. General Machinist Responsibilities: - Understand and comply with safety rules and regulations - Load and unload parts onto and off of conveyor belts that lead to and from furnaces - Inspect parts for quality of product - May sort parts for packing using appropriate equipment and procedures - May package parts using appropriate equipment and procedures - Complete required paperwork - Maintain workplace organization and cleanliness according to 5S standards - Proper use of lubes and coolants where required - Promptly inform Supervisor or Value Stream Leader of quality-related issues - Attend meetings and training sessions when necessary - Able to multitask between 2 or more machines - Any other duties assigned by Shift Supervisor, Value Stream Leader, or Management Requirements for General Machinist: - Previous machining experience preferred. - Must be 18 years of age - Must be able to stand 10+ hours a shift - Must be able to twist, bend, and lift as needed - Must be able to withstand hot temperatures at all times - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs - Must follow all general safety rules - Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills - Skilled in performing detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
