This is a project-based, remote position, working a rotational schedule, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). The project is expected to last approximately six months. All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose:

This position performs quality control functions to assure compliance with project and owner requirements under general supervision. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and work is reviewed by general supervision.

Essential Job Functions:

* Perform Fab Shop and field installation inspections of equipment and materials per the Project Specific Quality Plan, the Inspection Test Plan, Inspection Test Procedures and applicable Inspection Report forms or checklists.

* Maintain compliance with established project, corporate and customer quality assurance and control requirements.

* Review engineering drawings, suggest changes and track quality progress based on scope of work document.

* Updates Quality Control files.

* Assist in the processing of installation procedures.

* Notifies supervisors of any discrepancies found between work completed and material installed and Owner quality requirements.

* Attend training sessions, seminars, and appropriate educational classes as required by department.

* Works on and assists in making changes on non-conformance reports.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Have excellent written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.

* Possess current knowledge of Engineering, Business Administration, quality control and organizational practices.

* Experience in piping systems walk downs, P&ID's, weld mapping, welder's qualifications, ISO's, structural drawings, understanding of specs, procedures, codes, and standards.

* Proficient in documentation for tracking piping and structural steel welding.

* Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:


Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:

* Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

* Standing for prolonged periods of time.

* Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather

* Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.

* Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.

* Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.

* Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.

* Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.

* Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.

* Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

Qualifications:

* Must possess a current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certificate per AWS QC1.

* Minimum of four (4) years of related mechanical field experience.

* Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by Worley's auto insurer.

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Preferred Qualifications:

* Preferred current NACE/AMPP level 1 or 2 coating inspector.
