This is a project-based, remote position, working a rotational schedule, in Prudhoe Bay, AK.. The project is expected to last approximately six (6) to seven (7) months, with the potential for additional work. All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose:

The Electrical Superintendent will report to the General Superintendent and is responsible for estimating, planning, managing, and monitoring all aspects of electrical, instrumentation and controls work scopes for construction projects. The Electrical Superintendent will manage the electrical and instrumentation crew and interact daily with Worley and client stakeholders to ensure the work is executed safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.

This position is located on the North Slope and requires a flexible rotational schedule. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and the North Slope is provided. Rooms and meals are provided while on the Slope.

Essential Job Functions:

* Drives, promotes, and instills a culture of "Safety Leadership" that is incident and injury free and in which all employees feel responsible for safety and pursue it daily.

* Ensure all safety program expectations are met including, safety inspections, hazard recognition and mitigation, safety meetings, and PTSP(s).

* Assist the General Superintendent in job planning and work scheduling and coordinate the activities of the E&I crew to ensure effective operations and productivity.

* Supervise, direct and control the execution of all electrical functions of assigned projects and outline work program, designating critical areas and priorities.

* Thoroughly understands current NEC and NFPA70E standards.

* Ability to recognize and correct gaps in the safe execution of E&I work scopes.

* Highly skilled in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and providing solutions to technical issues.

* Develop and/or provide input to material take-offs, requisitions, vendor submittals and other procurement needs.

* Review and approve manpower requisitions for the employment of craft labor.

* Provide detailed scheduling of daily construction activities.

* Monitor and report on the progress of work activity, including significant milestones and any conditions which would affect cost or schedule.

* Conduct performance reviews and provide input on development plans for subordinates.

* Promote safe work practices and implement company and client safety policies for work crew.

* Review worksite and develop safety execution plans.

* Ensure all crew members have the required skills and abilities to perform job tasks safely and correctly.

* Regularly communicate expectations to crew with respect to work execution, safety, procedures, efficiency and encourage open communication from team members.

* Provide regular and timely feedback regarding performance.

* Make certain that all incidents are promptly reported.

* Continually seek improvement in work processes.

* Possess current knowledge of organizational practices.

Physical Demand/Work Environment:

Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:

* Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and high ranges, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

* Must stand throughout evaluation.

* Aerobic capacity evaluation via 3-minute step test.

* Sit and reach and range of motion evaluations.

* Lift 25 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.

* Lift 25 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.

* Carry 25 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.

External Qualifications:

* Possesses a current and valid Alaska State Fitness Certificate as a Journeyman Electrician.

* Valid driver's license required and ability to be insured by Worley's auto insurer.

* Five (5) years' experience as industrial journeyman.

* Two (2) years construction management and/or craft supervision experience.

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Preferred Qualifications:

* One (1) year experience working Office Suite programs (i.e., Word, Excel, & Outlook) preferred.

* Six (6) years' experience as a Journeyman Electrician, including three (3) years in industrial electrical work.
