Temporary Manager - Tech Lead/Solution Architect

We are seeking a skilled Tech Lead / Solution Architect for a short term, 5-week project, to conduct assessments of our client's IT Risk Assessment System. This is a fully remote position, preferably based out of the tri-state.

The focus will be on evaluating the system's target state implementation, ensuring that it meets defined requirements, and reviewing the configuration of technologies to align with those requirements. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical expertise in Python and Java, along with a deep understanding of technology assessments and system architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform technical assessments of the IT Risk Assessment System, evaluating the target state implementation against specified requirements.
• Perform architecture-level analysis to assess the system's scalability, security, and integration within the broader IT environment, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory frameworks.
• Code/logic review in Python and Java, ensuring compliance with system requirements and identifying optimization opportunities.
• Document findings, gaps, and recommendations, offering clear and actionable insights to ensure the system is configured correctly and meets all defined requirements.
• Support workshops and interviews with stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and system configurations.
• Assist in report preparation, summarizing assessments, risks, and recommendations related to system configuration and target state alignment.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Expert-level proficiency in Python and Java for code review and system configuration.
• Experience in IT Risk Assessment Systems and understanding of system architecture requirements.
• Proven experience in evaluating target state implementations and ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, capable of translating technical findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience working in collaborative environments, supporting workshops, and facilitating interviews with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in system configuration management and target state planning.
• Familiarity with IT risk management frameworks and technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud-based architectures and system scalability in financial institution context.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
