Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position |
The primary purpose of this position is to provide and maintain a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility for our students, alumni, friends, and the community. This position provides great customer service in general to visitors and strives to accomplish the mission, goals, and objectives of the Department while sustaining a relaxing and wholesome atmosphere that is welcoming.
- Perform basic cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, disinfecting, vacuuming, etc., to keep working areas in a clean and orderly condition throughout the facility
- Fill dispensers, such as tissue and soap, with the proper product and amount
- Empty all trash receptacles throughout the facility and surrounding areas of the building into waste collection bags
- Dust and damp-wipe all surface areas, tables, and chairs, with cleaning solutions
- Clean, a minimum of once a day with glass cleaners, all glass in the Student Center
- Scrubs, sanitizes, and deodorizes all restrooms
- Disinfect toilet bowls and sinks; damp-wipe all surface areas and re-supply when needed
- Inspect bathrooms a minimum of three times during the shift. Clean and re-supply when needed
- Sweep and mop restrooms and wipe down walls and stalls
- Scrub and clean trash cans

Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
The Student Center serves as the principal site for student programming and offers office accommodations for Student Leadership, the University Event Center, Aggie One-Card, Barnes & Nobles bookstore and other u units. In addition, it offers an array of services, conveniences and amenities for students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests. |
Work Hours |
40 hours a week (2nd or 3rd shift). May include weekends. |
