Clariant is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Account Manager to support the Polymer Solutions segment of the Adsorbents and Additives business unit. This role is responsible for managing a territory of large & complex Key Accounts belonging to the plastics industry in the Midwest. This role is pivotal in identifying growth opportunities, driving market penetration, and establishing long-term partnerships. The Account Manager will be a strong contributor to the execution of the Polymer Solutions segment strategy in the Americas and support the definition and implementation sales strategies to deliver objectives. The Polymer Solutions team is a diverse group that works together to tackle challenges and foster opportunities that will contribute to business growth in a complex, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

* Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Key Accounts and customers in the Midwest territory

* Address inquiries, provide product recommendations, and offer exceptional customer service

* Develop regional Key Account strategies through detailed account planning

* Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive growth in untapped regions or industries

* Act and collaborate as regional lead with the Global Key Account Manager team and provide input regarding global key account strategies

* Lead price negotiations with Key Accounts and customers in assigned territory and manage profitability to achieve financial targets

* Maintain and develop customer relationships with new and existing accounts

* Drive growth through identification of new opportunities and management of CRM pipeline

* Drive collaboration with technical business development managers based in Europe, USA and APAC to support pipeline development

* Provide a consultative selling approach to customers helping them make informed decisions about products and services

* Manage and communicate sales forecasts, account plans and budgets, and sales pipeline

* Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to maximize revenue for assigned accounts

* Collaborate with internal teams on product development, pricing strategies, marketing campaigns and market insights, supply chain and customer service

* Manage price quotes, RFP's, and contracts and support accounts receivables and inventory targets

* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to stay ahead of emerging opportunities

* Proactively address and mitigate churn risks

Requirements

* Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Science or a related field required

* 5-10 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, and/or technical marketing with Polymer Solutions polymer or related industries

* Must be able to learn product attributes and deliver solutions to customers' needs

* Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer behavior

* Consultative selling experience with ability to build rapport and relationships

* Sales driven mindset with passion for achieving and exceeding targets

* Ability to analyze market data and develop sales strategies accordingly

* Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
