Under the guidance and support of the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Policy Manager is an active participant in achieving Finance objectives. The Accounting Policy Manager will support the development and management of a hedge accounting program, including managing hedge effectiveness and hedge capacity. Duties will include documentation of hedge program. This position also assists with the preparation and review of the quarterly regulatory filings with the SEC, OCC, Federal Reserve, and other regulatory bodies related to hedge accounting.

This person will,

  • Manage hedging program including monitoring hedge capacity. Review hedge accounting, documenting support of hedge accounting and manage hedge effectiveness.

  • Proactively review and analyze proposed accounting and regulatory pronouncements to determine the potential impact to the company.

  • Assist with the annual review of accounting policies in compliance with GAAP, including the review, analysis, and development of accounting policies in support of new accounting and regulatory pronouncements.

  • Support the implementation of new accounting and regulatory reporting pronouncements from the FASB, SEC, OCC, Federal Reserve, and other regulatory authorities.

  • Ensure transactions for the Corporation are recorded in accordance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and corporate accounting / reporting policy.

Requirements
Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration Preferred

Experience

  • 2-4 years Audit with Public Accounting firm and Hedge accounting Required

  • 2-4 years Corporate accounting and management (SEC) reporting. Preferred

  • 4-6 years public accounting experience or 5+ years corporate accounting experience required, Hedge Accounting experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant by start date Required
