Responsibilities Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a temporary Transaction Attorney with its Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practice (MAPE). This position can be located in any of our US office locations (Austin; Boston; Chicago; Houston; Los Angeles; Menlo Park; New York; Orange County; Portland; Sacramento; San Francisco; Santa Monica; Seattle; or Washington DC) or our Global Operations & Innovation Center in Wheeling WV. Are you a self-starter with high levels of initiative and drive, willing to work hard to gain experience with corporate transactions in a major international law firm? Our Transaction Attorney positions are ideal for attorneys who are interested in working in a fast-paced M&A practice. The Transaction Attorney will work side-by-side with other legal professionals as a core member of the deal team, performing real-time client work and managing significant aspects of M&A deals for our clients. You will perform a wide array of tasks, including but not limited to: * Act as a key member of M&A deal teams to discharge client engagements Qualifications * A Juris Doctor and successful bar passage and admission to practice in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction is required Compensation and Benefits The expected hourly salary range for this position is between: Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
