Job Summary

The Counseling and Psych Services (CAPS) is currently seeking a Temporary Office Assistant, CAPS to join their team of professionals.

Performs office activities and secretarial assignments for professional and management staff in support of the on-going operations of the office and front desk. Performs duties such as greeting clients personally or by phone, taking messages, and scheduling appointments for students. Performs duties as scheduling meetings, preparing and maintaining office records, reports, and correspondence pertaining to the professional(s)'s and/or management staff's area of responsibility.

Job Duties:

  • Greets clients personally and by phone, takes messages, schedules appointments, and sends text and/or calls for appointment reminder as appropriate.
  • Serves as an agent in the Call Center.
  • Manages check in/check out of iPads for student's completing electronic form.
  • Maintains consultation records, filing room, supply room, and other record keeping including shredding expired records.
  • Scans, duplicates, xeroxes, and distributes materials.
  • Utilizes an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to assist with client scheduling, appointment reminders, etc.
  • Types correspondence distributes mail/e-mail, reports and forms from drafts, notes or oral instructions for administrators.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Based on IACS accreditation, current or future FIU students are not eligible for consideration.
Work Schedule

Monday-Friday (shifts may vary).

Up to 40 hours a week.

Advertised Salary

$16.00 - $18.00/hour
