Field Service Technician - Engine

Holt CAT is seeking an experienced Engine Field Service Technician for the Power Systems Division in Longview, Texas. This position is responsible for performing high-quality field service repair work on industrial engines in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel in the local region. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Must have a safe driving record. Must be able to pass a DOT Physical. Sign on bonus available of up to $5,000 for those qualified.

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities:

• Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs correctly in the field such as industrial engines and transmissions.
• 3 years of field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills in industrial engines and transmissions.
• Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with customers and employees in a professional manner.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with positive energy.
• Must be able to work required hours Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, weekends work upon business needs.
• Candidates must be available to work overtime.
• Must have a steady employment history.
• Must be able to bend, reach, extend, kneel walk and crawl.
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs safely, at least 15 times a day.
• Excellent attention to detail and results-oriented.
• Must have own tools.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.

Work Environment:

• Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment.
• Regularly works outdoors around moving mechanical parts and noise level may be loud at times.
• May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity.
• Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment.
• Required to perform work in cramped spaces and/or high places.

Travel:

• This position will require travel in the local region.
• Some overnight stay will be required.
• Travel will be in Texas only.

License:

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a safe driving record.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.
