PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Health Educator will be responsible for a range of training and educational activities aimed at populations in which health disparities exist. These activities include but are not limited to conducting community based health educational screening/presentations/ and programs in a variety of community settings such as schools, faith institutions, senior centers, and other community based organizations. The Health Educator refers clients to community resources as appropriate This position involves working with opinion leaders and clients in multiple neighborhoods and venues. The position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Please list the fundamental job duties of the position (approx 3-5).
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Masters Degree in Public Health or related field preferred EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Three years of relevant experience in health education Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily. Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson. |
