The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon University offers a unique interdisciplinary program that enables you to develop imaginative solutions to real-world engineering problems. We are searching for a Finance and Operations Coordinator to join our team. This position will be responsible for supporting departmental finance and operations and sponsored research administration transactions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Process Financial Transactions: deposits checks, processes Cost transfers (Account Redistribution, PDAs, etc.); may process purchase orders.
  • Compiles, tracks, and enters all Oracle LD and Costing allocation; Effort Certification
  • Student Travel, ER, and Purchasing
  • Processes student Workday transactions (PhD, hourly research, TAS and Graders, etc.)
  • Scholarship processing (GRAD AID); Student HUB account support/questions;
  • Set Up, monitor, and report on: Dean's Fellowship - Professional Development funds.
  • Set up, monitor, and report on Travel Grants, Monitor, SURF/SURG/REU /GSA awards.
  • Supports Course purchasing and arrangements.
  • Student organization accounting and reporting.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of experience with administrative support.
  • Excellent problem-solving, reasoning, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in higher education preferred.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
