Duties and Responsibilities |
Reporting to the Senior Project and Portfolio Manager, the Marketing Project Manager is responsible for managing approximately 20-30 concurrent print, digital, and multimedia projects of various sizes. The Marketing Project Manager will collaborate with
UMC senior leadership, design and editorial staff, as well as clients from other Loyola University Chicago departments to ensure that projects are executed on time, on scope, and on budget.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Creates project schedules and estimates and revise them as needed.
2. Communicates requirements and assignments to various team members
3. Schedules and attends client and project meetings; generates and follows up on tasks
that result.
4. Manages internal and external reviews and approvals
5. Helps prioritize projects and deadlines in order to best meet department and client
needs
6. Collaborates with other project managers to lead weekly production/status meetings
7. Assists with forecasting and resource management
8. Regularly reviews and revises processes to improve performance and efficiency
9. Other duties as assigned |
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience |
Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of related experience or terminal degree as defined by department. |
Qualifications |
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing or related area.
- Minimum: 3-5 years working in a creative, marketing, or communications environment
with project management responsibilities - Proven success supervising large-scale complex projects, leading multiple
disciplines in a coordinated effort/program - Strong knowledge of project management best practices and processes, including
software - Superior interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
- Strong familiarity with integrating multi-channeled communications, including print,
online, audio and video, and social media - Ability to multi-task and get things done while working in collaborative,
consensus-focused organization
