Communications & Signals Internship - 9 Month Program starting Summer 2025 (Paid)

Job Summary

Internship opportunity with the Communications & Signals Department to support the objectives and goals related to the End of Train (EOT) Units. The intern must have a passion for collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving. The intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior leadership. This program is a paid 9-month internship based in Jacksonville, FL.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities

• Support the EOT Desk with reducing the Foreign EOT Liability
• Assist in identifying and correcting any issues with distributing EOTs to the different locations
• Collaborate with the Technology Team on improving the EOT Systems
• Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Associate Degree/2-year Degree
• Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 point scale)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/4-year Degree

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership/executive audiences
• Written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Familiar with Programming Languages, coding
• Studies in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields
• Ability to independently manage assignments
• Ability to communicate effectively and build working relationships at all levels of an organization

Job Requirements

• Work hours may vary in length
• Must be currently attending and enrolled in an accredited college or university (per contingent worker policy)
• Successfully complete a background check and drug test

• Less than 5% Travel
