Executive Director, Pharmacy Non-Commercial Specialty Pharmacy Lake Mary, Florida - Onsite

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director of Pharmacy Operations to oversee the efficient and effective operation of our non-commercial Patient Assistance Pharmacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacy operations management, experience in managing a remote work force, a proven track record of driving change and operational excellence, along with a strategic mindset to lead our team to success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of the non-commercial Patient Assistance Pharmacy operations.

  • Provide leadership and direction to operational teams, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, fulfillment specialists, and customer service representatives, both on premises and remote.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hub operations, human resources, IT, finance, and sales / account management, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of operations with overall business objectives.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows; improve productivity and efficiency; reduce costs; and enhance client satisfaction.

  • Oversee inventory management processes to minimize stockouts, optimize inventory levels, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance and uphold industry standards.

  • Participate with commercial teams, account management, and hub operations in regularly scheduled Client Quarterly Business Reviews.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the operations team.

Education and Experience:

  • Required Education and Licensure: BS/PharmD and RPh license

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in pharmacy operations with at least 5 years in a senior management role are required. Experience in specialty pharmacy preferred or retail pharmacy with direct responsibility in multiple stores or locations is required.

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, including prescription fulfillment, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Experience in cold chain operations preferred.

  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence, process improvement, change management, and cost optimization initiatives.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, coach, motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Experience working with pharmacy management systems and other technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service in pharmacy operations.

Must live within commuting distance and be able to work on site in our Lake Mary, FL pharmacy. Some travel required for leadership team meetings.
