Infrastructure Manager

Overview:

Leading the Enterprise IT Infrastructure function, this position will contribute to the strategy, design and drive the implementation, operation and support agendas needed to ensure the company's technology infrastructure is robust, stable, secure and in alignment with current and future needs of the business. Leverages a wide range of cloud, on-premise, and innovative services to achieve these objectives while applying creativity, industry best practices and sound decision making to ensure service delivery success. Collaborates across functional areas, provides oversight and guidance to the team, assigns resources to complete projects, ensures timely resolution of incidents and is responsible for the evaluation and development of the infrastructure staff. Manages the firm's resources (processes and tools) and assignments with proficiency, fluency and aptitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the development and executes the infrastructure strategies needed to ensure the continuous and high-quality delivery of all infrastructure services
  • Leads and mentors a team responsible for the enterprise infrastructure ecosystem and services
  • Executes and oversees the architecture, engineering, installation, upgrade, configuration, patching, maintenance, support, performance, monitoring and continuity of all infrastructure capabilities including but limited to networking, compute, platforms, virtualization, storage, backup/recovery, domain services, directory services, email/collaboration, file/print, etc., across a wide range of cloud, on-premise and other 3rd party service providers
  • Collaborates with the technology peers and business functions to engineer, integrate, review and approve technology solutions
  • Manages end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, coordinating resources and prioritizing tasks to meet organizational objectives
  • Responds to and oversees technical issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Coordinates and provides advanced tier 3 support for complex and escalating issues from other tier 2 and tier 1 support teams
  • Develops and maintains detailed written standards, policies and procedures consistent with departmental and company guidelines
  • Ensures all technology and departmental activities comply with company, security, regulatory and regional requirements
  • Establishes and maintains informational dashboards and KPI metrics
  • Stays current with industry trends, technological advancements, and leverages these capabilities to improve and streamline the operation
  • Provides afterhours support as needed for high severity situations
  • Performs other duties assigned by leadership

Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Cisco or Windows Certified (Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or Windows MCSE) preferred
  • Typically with 6+ years of experience architecting, implementing, and supporting cloud and on-premise infrastructure technologies
  • Typically with 5+ years management experience of infrastructure teams and services
  • Deep knowledge in the following technologies and enterprise administration for:

o Cisco and Silver Peak (managed device, routing, WIFI, LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, OSPF, BGP, VPC, NSP, etc.)

o Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud services

o Microsoft ADO, M365, Co-pilot, and Server

o Windows directory and enterprise services

o Citrix Cloud

o VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter

o Pure Storage, Cisco Hyperflex, and Cohesity

  • Proficiency with Palo Alto firewall, Prisma and SASE environments
  • Proficiency with Okta
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Strong ability to set goals and measures for organizational performance
  • Strong analytical skills (technical and non-technical problem-solving skills)
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate results
  • Ability to manage team with diplomatic and collaborative leadership style which puts value on relationships and collaboration, both internal and external
  • Ability to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutions
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment, and ability to work independently and prioritize work
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
  • Travel may be required
