Fillauer LLC is hiring a Hook Fabrication Specialist to perform post-machining work on prosthetic hooks and their components.



Your Impact

    Performs finishing work, including sanding, aligning, and vulcanizing hook fingers
  • Utilize belt sander, hydraulic press, grinder, heat treat oven and other equipment as required for job
  • Interprets work orders and other verbal or written instructions
  • Meets job deadlines and ensures continuous process flow
  • Documents actions by electronically recording labor and materials for each job
  • Ensures quality standards are met
  • Verifies specifications by measuring and testing completed components
  • Identifies any defective items and handles according to established procedures
  • Resolves production problems by communicating with peers or supervisors
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with company standards


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Experience using basic shop hand tools
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • Must be detail focused
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Must possess good communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in utilizing the following equipment: belt sander, grinder, hydraulic press, heat treat oven, and torches
  • Sand blasting experience
  • Metal bending experience
