Description Registered Nurse RN

The Gastroenterology Resource Nurse is a bachelor's prepared registered nurse who will play a crucial role in supporting clinic access, care coordination, and addressing pre-procedure inquiries in the Gastroenterology Division. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, in collaboration with the Quality and Safety team, this role is intended to be integral part of the healthcare team, ensuring efficient patient care delivery, effective communication, and optimal patient outcomes. We are looking for a highly motivated nurse who will be flexible to the nursing needs of our busy Gastroenterology practice. The Ideal candidate for this position would have an interest in quality improvement as well as a strong understanding gastrointestinal conditions, procedures, and treatment modalities.

Qualifications

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
  • Previous inpatient experience strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years nursing experience required
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • An understanding of different subspecialty areas in the Division of Gastroenterology (including GI Endoscopy), and gastroenterology medical expertise is required for this role.
  • Relevant professional experience in outpatient nursing and or case management preferred.
