JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Information Technology and Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations programs at Penn State Lehigh Valley are seeking applications for part-time teaching appointments for the Spring 2025 semester and the 2025-2026 academic year. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: We are seeking instructors with previous teaching experience and/or work experience capable of teaching courses in any of the following: computer networking concepts, databases and SQL, cyber analytics, Java/Python programming, or security and risk analysis. A master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field is required. Duties include teaching one to three undergraduate level courses (1-3 credits each up to a maximum of 9 credits per semester each spring, and/or fall semester depending on expertise and needs). Additional duties may vary by assignment. Teaching duties may require teaching day, evening or weekend classes depending on the needs of the class being taught. Courses are primarily taught using an in-person (on campus) modality. Courses may also be taught in a variety of modalities, including hybrid options of classroom and synchronous or asynchronous modalities, depending on the needs of the program. A teaching review will occur during your first semester of teaching. Applicants will be reviewed based on their background, experience, and educational credentials.
