The Position

This position plays a critical role in supporting the success of multilingual learners (MLL) by delivering comprehensive student services including recruitment, advising and developing community partnerships. This position will be pivotal in guiding MLL students from initial interest through enrollment and ensuring they have the access to the resources and support necessary to thrive. With a focus on increased enrollment and student persistence, this position will work closely with the college's Recruitment and Retention Teams.

Staff Duration: Full Time 12 months


What You Will Do

  1. Develops and implements targeted recruitment strategies, including the development and distribution of promotional materials, to attract multilingual learners to the college.
  2. Recommends programs, campaigns and/or projects that generate interest in the college by identifying student trends and interests based on generational, demographic and cultural filters.
  3. Uses excellent customer service skills to assist MLL students in navigating the college's resources including financial aid and payment options, tutoring and student support services.
  4. Organizes information sessions, workshops and campus tours for prospective MLL students and their families.
  5. Positively represents the college at outreach activities in diverse communities, including attending community events and visiting local schools; Delivers presentations and tours in both English and Spanish, as requested.
  6. Builds and maintains strong partnerships with community organizations, local businesses and educational institutions to develop joint initiatives that support the educational and career success of multilingual learners.
  7. Serves as primary collaborator in other areas of enrollment services including College Pathways, early college, partnerships, as needed.
  8. Participates in training programs in all student service areas and attends commencement ceremonies, registration days and other student events as directed.
  9. Uses CRM and ERP systems to maintain accurate databases, aligns and tracks communications and assists with the enhancement of enrollment campaigns.
  10. Related projects and duties as assigned.

The Successful Candidate Must Have

1. Bachelor's Degree.
2. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
3. At least two years of experience in education, enrollment, admissions, or marketing requiring excellent customer service, communication, relationship-building and organizational skills.
4. Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
5. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and a relational database system; ability to create standard and new reports with limited oversight; prior experience with websites and online platforms.


Even Better If You Have

1. Master's Degree.
2. Two or more years of experience advising students at the college level.
3. One-year experience using Ellucian Colleague, Ellucian Recruit or other CRM System.
