Planned Parenthood North Central States

Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota

Election Intern - St. Paul, MN

Pay: $17 per hour

Schedule: Part-time, 15 hours per week

Duration: From date of hire through November 30th, 2024

Shift times: Variable Schedule and ability to flex time. Schedule will be split between office shifts, volunteer events and working from home. Occasional evenings and weekend hours.

Location: Vandalia Health Center - 671 Vandalia St, St. Paul, MN

Job type: Non-Exempt

Travel: Travel in and round the Twin Cities metro 1-2 times per week maximum.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • An interest in learning the skills of electoral organizing
  • For applicants who are college students, college credit is available per your institution's guidelines
  • All applicants should have an interest in reproductive health and rights advocacy and a commitment to grassroots organizing


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Previous campaign and direct voter contact experience a plus
  • Experience using Voter Action Network software (NGP VAN)



Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:



  • Conduct volunteer recruitment efforts, including but not limited to, phone banking, text banking, and community outreach, to fill volunteer shifts
  • Support the Public Affairs team volunteer events
  • Provide direct training and support to volunteers as they engage in direct voter contact
  • Participate in direct voter contact such as phonebanks, text banks, canvassing to achieve our 2024 election goals
  • Learn and use the Voter Action Network (VAN) to track and report data
  • Meet base building, outreach and volunteer engagement goals
