Key responsibilities for position
In this role you will....

  • Perform experiments in support of mRNA drug substance process development.
  • Assist with designing and executing experiments and analyzing results with supervisor and other colleagues
  • May be called to present work functions or results at a team meeting
  • Keep detailed records using an electronic laboratory notebook
  • Make decisions that require choosing between limited alternatives to resolve problems of moderate complexity
  • Work in less structured problem-solving situations within own work group. Critical thinking and analysis of data will be central to all aspects of this position
  • Use established procedures, technologies, and methodologies
  • Be able to transform novel approaches into routine practice
  • Increasingly rely on own experience and knowledge as well as that of others for scientific judgement in the work situation
  • Assist with preparation of technical reports and presentations to clearly communicate scientific findings as needed


Competencies / Requirements for position

Qualifications/ Education & work experience
  • Biochemistry, engineering or related degree; BS with 2 to 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Large molecule and wet lab experience required
  • Experience in purification modalities such as TFF and AKTA chromatography strongly desired
  • Knowledge in process development is highly desirable
  • Previous work with mRNA (handling/isolation/quantification/characterization) is desired
  • Knowledge of mRNA characterization methods preferred
  • Capable of working in a collaborative team environment both within group and on interdisciplinary teams
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to present findings to a diverse scientific group in a clear and concise manner is necessary
