Upward Bound Program Tutor

Position Summary:
Host tutoring services at the target area high school (Belen, Los Lunas & Valencia).
Assist students with their academics, assignments, projects, etc.
Maintain tutoring attendance records for each school.
Create and/or update academic resources for high school students.
Available to assist with Chime in Hours (extra tutoring services via Zoom for students in the program).
Adjust & recognize to different learning styles.
Building meaningful academic based connections with Upward Bound students.
Assist with chaperoning during scheduled events such as: Saturday Sessions, field trips, volunteering opportunities, etc.
Other duties as assigned relating to supporting students in their academic needs

Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (Spanish & English)
Excellent Problem-solving skills, organization, and attention to detail.
Able to tutor at our 3-target area high schools (Belen, Los Lunas & Valencia High Schools).
Ability to work on selected Saturdays for Saturday Sessions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of student file records.
Demonstrated friendly, professional, and helpful demeanor.
Ability to work effectively as a team member.
Ability to tutor students in any of the following subject(s): math, English, Science, etc.
Ability to provide academic & pre-college assistance to high school students.
Work-study eligible.
Work outside the 8am-5pm work hours.
