At Mimecast, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager, Professional Services to join our leadership team. As a Professional Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing a team of fast paced, and highly skilled professional consultants to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and fostering a positive work environment.

What You'll Do:

Team Leadership:

  • Set clear performance expectations, establish goals, and provide regular feedback to team members to ensure individual and team success.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting open communication, teamwork, and a positive culture.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions.

Operational Management:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring smooth workflow, timely completion of tasks, and adherence to established processes and procedures.
  • Monitor team performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, drive process improvements, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges, escalating issues as necessary to ensure effective resolution.

Performance Management:

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, addressing areas of improvement and recognizing achievements.
  • Identify training and development needs, coordinating and facilitating training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
  • Proactively address performance issues and implement corrective measures when necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other departmental managers to drive cross-functional initiatives and achieve organizational goals.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for customer issues, working closely with the team to resolve complex or sensitive matters in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Assist in the development and management of budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources while maintaining financial targets.
  • Monitor resource allocation, workload distribution, and capacity planning to optimize team performance and meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Provide input and recommendations on resource requirements, including staffing levels, skills, and tools necessary to support team objectives.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in a similar industry or field.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to identify trends, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Sound knowledge of operational processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools.
