Responsibilities

Peraton is looking to hire Software Engineers supporting the Tomahawk Weapon Systems(TWS) in Santa Clara, CA. This could turn into a hybrid position (Typical week is 1 days remote/4 days onsite).

In support of the US Navy, Peraton develops 5 of the 7 components of The Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC). TMPC is the mission planning segment of the Tomahawk Weapon System that provides precision targeting, route planning, mission distribution, and strike management of Tomahawk cruise missile missions from sites located ashore and afloat. TMPC optimizes all aspects of the Tomahawk missile mission to successfully engage a target"

What you'll do:

    Contribute to the development and implementation of a full stack microservices architecture for use by Navy Sailors.
  • Collaborate with senior developers to understand project requirements and assist in the development process.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support the integration and delivery of solutions.
  • Utilize expertise in Angular, C#, and PostgreSQL to contribute to the development of applications.
  • Assist in implementing containerization strategies to support application deployment and security.
  • Support compliance with security protocols and DevSecOps practices.
  • Participate in Agile development processes following Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address technical challenges.


Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related with 2 years of software development experience; Masters with 0 years or 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Proficiency in at least one modern software language, C, C#, Java, etc.
  • Exposure to software development lifecycle through previous work experience.
  • Familiarity with Windows or Linux software development technologies is a plus (Angular, C#, .NET Core).

Desired Experiences:

  • Exposure to transforming legacy systems to Microservice Architecture.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles.
  • Basic understanding of Agile development methodology.
  • Understanding of automated testing techniques.
  • Interest in UI/UX design.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
