We are currently seeking a Fryer Operator to work from our manufacturing facility located in Kings Mountain, NC. The Fryer Operator will work in conjunction with the Supervisor to support the production requirements including safety, quality, production, sanitation and maintenance of assigned equipment in the fryer areas. This position is scheduled to work Mon-Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Operate and adjust Fryer equipment including setting parameters and requirements.
  • Perform basic adjustments, changeovers, and repairs to machinery.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment by performing proper preventative maintenance measures to ensure quality products and long-lasting functional machinery.
  • Visually inspect parts of the equipment and use measuring tools to ensure that proper specifications are achieved.
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Monitor product quality and respond to issues identified to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Complete all production and data entry functions in accordance with established quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure adherence to established safety standards and proactively communicate and address issues required to maintain a zero-accident culture.
  • Read, interpret, and communicate production schedules.
  • Partner with Associates to ensure appropriate communication of assignments and changes.
  • Assist with resource oversight including scheduling breaks and lunches.
  • Maintain a positive teamwork attitude and integrity.
  • Complete cleaning of production and associated equipment per procedures and as directed.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and supervision ensuring required standards are met.
  • Cover for other operators and co-workers as required during absences.
  • Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
  • Complete other tasks and duties as assigned to maintain safety, quality, and production goals.


Non-Essential Functions:

* Works with management and fellow associates to ensure Food Safety programs are followed.

* Reports food, office or operational safety problems to a supervisor or manager for initiating action.

* Performs other duties as assigned that will impact and support the overall outcome of company and department objectives.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Demonstrated ability to operate production and data entry equipment.

* Knowledge of safe operating practices involved in the use of lock-out/tag-out programs and food safety.

* Experience with general mechanic tools (Allen wrenches, screw drivers, etc.).

* Must have the ability to multi-task.

* Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

* Must possess basic math skills.

* Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs.

* Must be willing and able to work in / around consistently hot equipment and environments.

* Must be team oriented.

* Strong commitment to company values.

Health and Safety:

* Responsible to follow all safety rules and work safely at all times.

* Responsible to report unsafe equipment and practices to supervisor.

* Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing.

Working Conditions:

* Possible exposure to cleaning materials and compounds.

* Requires ability to stand or walk 100% of the time with extensive and continuous hand/arm movement.

* Exposure to hot equipment and environments.

* Possible slippery floors due to humidity and manufacturing process.

* Personal Protective Equipment usage where required.
