Job Summary

Responsible for aligning business objectives with Partners and management in designated business units. Serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. Acts as an employee champion and change agent. Assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

Essential Duties

    Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective
    investigations. Works closely with management and Partners to improve work relationships, build morale,
    increase productivity and retention.
  • Builds capability in coaching and advising in HR policies. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance including coaching, counseling, career development, and corrective action.
  • Oversees the various human resources programs and procedures for all Partners. Oversees and ensures consistency of the termination framework and all related processes. Manages and represents the company in all unemployment claim matters.
  • Maintains in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Provides counsel and advises on complex HR policy and interpretation matters in order to make sound business decisions.
  • Utilizes succession planning programs and integrates search activities to align with the succession plans and talent/competency gaps. Participates in and influences all hiring of key talent.
  • Influences and participates in developing department and business unit goals, objectives and systems. Provides guidance and mentoring to other HR positions such as coordinators, generalists or administrative roles.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics with the HRBP Team to develop solutions, programs and policies. Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures consistent with the Partner Manual.
  • Supports organizational training and development efforts and makes recommendations based upon performance and development plans.
  • Ensures maintenance and communication of records and compliance activities as required by law or local governing bodies.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is required.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • People oriented and results driven.
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
