Orrick has an excellent opportunity for a Lateral Partner Recruiting Specialist who is ready to be challenged and build a career within an AmLaw Top 100 law firm. This position could be based in any of our U.S. offices (Austin; Boston; Chicago; Houston; Los Angeles; New York; Menlo Park; Orange County, Portland, Sacramento; San Francisco; Santa Monica, Seattle, Washington DC or Wheeling, WV).



Responsibilities

As a Lateral Partner Recruiting Specialist at Orrick, you will join a top-notch team that places an emphasis on innovation, teamwork and adapting to the evolving practices of competitive legal recruiting. As one of the primary recruiting contacts for partner candidates, you will be responsible for guiding candidates through the full recruiting lifecycle, from submission to integration, all the while providing a high-touch, white glove experience to internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with Growth and Integration Team Leadership to execute on Orrick's top strategic recruiting priorities.

It is expected that you will have a clear understanding of the following: Orrick's innovative vision and the Growth and Integration Team's role in realizing that vision; the firm's strategy; Orrick's key sectors and practice groups; how to best represent Orrick to candidates and search firms; how to be an ambassador for Orrick; and how to identify the credentials that are predictors of successful Orrick partners.



Qualifications

    Bachelor of Arts or Science or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in recruiting, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Prior legal recruiting experience with lateral partner, associate and/or judicial clerkship recruiting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Zoom, Teams and applicant tracking systems, such as iCIMS or LawCruit preferred.
  • Extraordinary verbal and written communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated organization and time-management skills.
  • The ability to be innovative and operate in an enthusiastic manner with a broad range of professionals. Demonstrated experience working both independently and harmoniously on teams.
  • Adept at handling concurrent projects and effectively prioritizing tasks in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • Your flexibility and dedication to work beyond the position's written duties and assist in various areas of the firm's operations is essential.
  • Willingness to work during irregular evening and weekend hours when required for time-sensitive, project-specific activities and/or during urgent situations.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this is:

  • California Major Markets* $77,000 - $105,000
  • New York City $83,000 - $105,000
  • National $72,000 - $95,000

* California Major Markets includes San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica. All other California locations fall within National range.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
