JOB DESCRIPTION


As a Technical Services Manager at Worley, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and leading field engineering work in your assigned area. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, supervising, and providing administrative guidance to our technical teams, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and in alignment with our construction program. Your expertise in technical services, project management, and leadership will be key to your success in this role.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Field Engineering Management: Plan, schedule, and supervise all field engineering activities within your assigned area, ensuring they align with project goals and timelines.



Construction and Procurement: Provide technical guidance to support construction operations.



Team Leadership: Direct and lead teams of typically 10 to 40 individuals within your discipline or on specific projects, ensuring their success and growth.



Technical Expertise: Utilize your broad knowledge of your field to troubleshoot and develop tactical plans for implementing organizational goals and oversee the design of new concepts and ideas related to projects and your area of expertise.



Change Management: Implement and lead organizational project changes effectively, ensuring they are derived from interpreted and applied general information and consultation with other individuals.



Interaction: Work independently with self-initiated interaction with your supervisor and provide self-initiated technical guidance. Influence over duties while receiving administrative direction based on organizational policies and objectives.



Performance Management: Have direct and possibly indirect reports, with authority for performance evaluations impacting pay. Make decisions related to the selection, training, discipline, and remuneration of staff.



Policy Framework: Assign program work that involves several projects and set the policy framework for project work.



Subject Matter Expertise: Be recognized as a subject matter expert and use your seasoned ability to inform and persuade on complex matters, particularly in addressing the most complex and difficult problems.



Systems and Process Expertise: Possess an advanced understanding of systems, processes, and tools related to the field. Assist others and troubleshoot issues and may be involved in the development of new systems, processes, and tools.

Qualifications - Internal

QUALIFICATIONS


  • University Degree, or equivalent, in a related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Significant years of relevant experience, including supervisory, project management, and/or technical experience.
  • Ability to think strategically and implement tactical plans effectively.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of systems, processes, and tools within your field.
  • Proven track record in influencing and decision-making.
