Summary of Job Duties:The Instructor shall be responsible to the Dean of Workforce Education & Training.

Classes taught will include but are not limited to:
Craft Skills, AC & Heating Systems I, II, and III, Refrigeration System & Components, Commercial Refrigeration, and Service, Maintenance & Troubleshooting.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Provide instruction to students and prepare them in the technical competencies required to be successful in the HVAC service industry.

Maintain updated course documents and student academic records for courses taught. This includes utilizing an online learning management system to track attendance, grades, post course documents, etc.

Utilize innovative teaching strategies to meet the learning needs of a diverse student population and enforce all program safety requirements.

Establish and maintain working relationships with industry partners and the advisory committee to ensure the curriculum, reference materials, syllabi, technology and other training aids are current and relevant to the program.

Serve as an advisor for students. This includes meeting with students to determine schedules, planning course of study to assure students can graduate in a timely manner, and referring students to the proper personnel for counseling, financial aid, etc.

Maintain skills and knowledge within appropriate industry area through attending of professional development opportunities.

Serve on standing and/or ad hoc committees as assigned by the administrative officers.

Attend functions at the college as requested by administrative officers (graduation, open house, etc.).

Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate must have a commitment to working cooperatively with all campus personnel to fulfill the Mission of UACCM, and have the ability to deliver quality customer services. Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of relevant work-related experience in the HVAC-R industry.

  • Possess an Associate's degree, or higher, in a relevant field, or commitment to earn degree if hired.

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess a State of Arkansas HVAC-R Class A Licenses

  • Previous instructional/trainer experience NCCER instructor certifications.

Salary Information:

Salary Range: $50,000 to $55,000
