Building & Code Compliance Inspector

What You'll Do

  • Perform third party electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety building inspections
  • Perform inspections of foundations, concrete slabs, framing, roofing and related construction activity
  • Perform plan reviews and determine if the permitted design plans may require revisions and make recommendations to the contractors, engineers and/or architect
  • Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports in accordance with ECS Policy
  • Market our services by maintaining and developing client interactions and participating in business development and marketing functions related to construction inspections
  • Follow ECS safety procedures and policies

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2-5+ years of experience in code compliance inspection of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems and/or plan review preferred
  • At least one valid ICC certification including B2, M2, P2, or E2
  • If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
