Job Summary:
The Mead Witter School of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Cello. Preference will be given to candidates with successful teaching and recruitment experience in cello at the advanced level, a record of professional performing experience at the national/international level, clear potential for future success in performance, and evidence of significant creative/research activities. We seek a colleague who will join a nationally renowned faculty and contribute to our program through teaching courses that develop and support a wide range of musical endeavors. Responsibilities: --Recruit and teach a studio of 16-17 diverse undergraduate and graduate cello students, the typical teaching load for applied faculty in the School of Music. Additional courses may be assigned in lieu of studio instruction depending on the candidate's expertise and School's needs.
