Quality Control Manager

The Quality Control Inspector will be required to verify quality work has been completed in functions such as incoming inspection, fabrication, assembly, casting, shipping and/or other areas as assigned.

• Inspect and troubleshoot any defects or discrepancies in conformity
• Assist other QC Personnel, Operators, Assemblers, etc. when quality questions arise
• Perform inspections using measurement tooling (calipers, gauges, meters, etc.)
• Train other employees as well as participate in additional training.
• Inspect, examine, and observe for product or equipment defects.
• Cross Training will be expected and required.
• Potential of some weekday and/or weekend OT.
• Experience in the use of various hand tools such as screwdriver crimpers etc. but not limited to
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment, assembly or casting preferred
• Experience using computers Microsoft Office Suite and other web applications.
• Ability and experience in reading interpreting engineering drawings and other related technical drawings and models.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to climb ladders, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift heavy objects.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Work along of as a member of a team
• Initiative, teamwork, flexibility & attention to detail
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United States
• Desired experience in SAP and Windchill
• Ability to work with teams and deliver feedback to operators concerning identified issues
• 1 year experience in quality
