The Arizona Student Unions is looking for a Dining Services Attendant (Culinary and Food Service Attendant I) to join its Chick-fil-A team. This position is an academic position. This position will be under the Academic Year schedule, the position will have the summers off and start back up in August and continue through May.

This position performs various duties necessary in the preparation or service of food and provides quality customer service to students, faculty, staff, and guests.

Must be able to work morning, evenings, and weekend shifts to accommodate restaurant needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sets up and replenishes serving lines and products at dining unit and c-store.
Gathers hot and cold food for service line and serves to customers.
Performs food preparation tasks such as sandwich and salad making and beverage preparation, following written standardized recipes.
Clean and process fruits and vegetables and prepares various salads, according to written standardized recipes.
Scrapes and sorts dirty dishes, silverware and glassware and operates dishwashing machines.
Maintains cleanliness of store and kitchen areas; sweeps, mops and vacuums floors; cleans dishes from tables and cleans dining room tables and chairs.
Operates and cleans food service equipment.
Inventories area and completes required forms.
Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of job content, practices and procedures.
Skills necessary to fully perform all aspects of the job.
Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques and standards.
Skill in using cleaning products and equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to occasionally transport/move up to 50 lbs.

Ability to frequently reach, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry and push.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Working morning, evenings, and weekend shifts is required to accommodate restaurant needs.
