Job Description

The Clubhouse Director is responsible for the overall coordination of the Club and integration of the Club within the resort organization. The Clubhouse Director is accountable for all areas of Golf and Club Operations, including Golf Operations, Golf Course Maintenance, Membership & Events, and Tennis & Pickleball Operations, Responsibilities include managing the budget, strategic planning, membership and golf sales, and marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    1. Develop strategic sales plans with the Membership & Golf teams to maximize revenue and Member participation
    2. Oversight of Member, Resort, and outside rounds
    3. Manage Membership, Golf, Membership and Event staff to ensure effective planning and implementation of Member Events, and maintenance of comprehensive Club communications, programs and publication of member newsletter
    4. Oversee all aspects of Club financial management, e.g., budget, forecasting, P&L
    5. Maintain website in collaboration with the resort marketing department
    6. Act as Membership, Board, and HOA liaison
    7. Establish Advisory Board, Polls and comprehensive quarterly reports pertaining to the needs of the membership
    8. Assist with effective resolution of Member issues
    9. Define Club organizational chart and job descriptions
    10. Develop Club policies and procedures including S.O.P and training tools for the Club teams as needed
    11. Maintain Clubhouse, Golf Course, and Racquet facilities
    12. Attend New Hire Orientations


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,

  • Should have a minimum of ten years' experience in Hospitality/Club Operations, with minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role
  • Must have a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent computer skills and high-level proficiency in technology programs and platforms, including social media
  • Understanding and experience in either operations or sales
  • Be ultimately responsible for the performance of the golf shop operations, golf services, membership sales and golf sales productivity and condition of the golf course
  • Work with Resort and Corporate Marketing Teams on Club marketing initiatives including all promotional materials, the promotion of new golf memberships, play recruitment, yield management, golf packages, and outside events
  • Oversee all fiscal responsibilities and performance for the golf operations including planning, budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and corrective management.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel/ Word/ email and database maintenance.
  • Experience in preparing strategic plans, budgeting, forecasting and review of financial statement for a club operation

  • Head Professional
  • Superintendent

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Sound command of the English language, with the ability to read and interpret a P&L statement. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to speak professionally and effectively with guests and associates throughout the organization in both public and private forums.

REASONING ABILITY:

Must be able to successfully conduct and accomplish multiple tasks, exhibit financial responsibility/competence and possess strong organizational and problem solving skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The associate is constantly required to talk, hear and comprehend. The employee is required to sit for long periods; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must have flexible work hours (days, evenings). Appearance must be polished, professional, a well groomed. Must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $100,000/salary. The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate's qualifications and/or experience.
