Position Highlights:

Position: Clinical Nurse Educator, GI Lab

Hours: Days with rotating hours

Required Travel: Rotating sites (Evanston, Glenview, Highland Park, Skokie)

What you will need:

  • License: IL RN License

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • Certifications: CPR (both BLS and ACLS)

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Staff Nurse in the GI Lab

What you will do:

  • Assess and address staff development needs by creating and evaluating training programs to enhance clinical expertise.

  • Coordinate and monitor the orientation of new hires, including direct observation, performance feedback, and development of targeted action plans.

  • Partner with department leadership to coach and assess Preceptors, facilitating effective onboarding of new employees.

  • Stay updated with new medical standards, products, and technologies; participate in policy development and create competency-based training to ensure compliance.

  • Serve as a mentor and clinical consultant, exemplifying effective collaboration with physicians to achieve optimal patient care plans.

  • Represent the department in corporate committees and provide consultancy to other hospital departments as needed.

  • Integrate evidence-based research and data analysis into educational content, continuous quality improvement, and clinical practice, while supporting the maintenance of quality assurance programs.
