Work Schedule

The standard work schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm during the Academic Year.

7:00am - 6:00pm during the Summer Months

This position offers remote work allowing employees a combination of onsite and work from home options. The expected remote work schedule for this position will be based upon the needs of the department.

Job Summary

Coordinates, administers, and implements Disability Resources & Services (DRS) programs and services and performs professional-level student services work that requires independent evaluation and analysis of student access issues and possesses the necessary judgment and experience needed to select and apply policies, procedures, and criteria to resolve problems and make recommendations. This position requires great attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. A hybrid work schedule may be available depending on the needs of the college and department.

Essential Functions

60% - Program Caseload Management: Coordinates, implements, and analyzes program goals, objectives, activities, and outcomes and works to ensure timely delivery of student accommodations based on criteria and policy
30% - Program Administration: Performs DRS program administration and coordination including operational planning, program management and evaluation, problem resolution, and technical assistance; assists faculty and other college staff in implementing accommodations i.e.: testing, interpreting, captioning, etc.; research program opportunities, industry standards, trends, and best practices; makes recommendations for implementation and advises about accommodations and access concerns in classes and/or curriculums
10% - Program Outreach: Coordinates and implements DRS program outreach and recruitment activities. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or directly related field and two (2) years of related program management experience preferably in an educational setting.

OR

Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or directly related field and four (4) years of related program management experience preferably in an educational setting.

OR

High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of related program management experience preferably in an educational setting.

Desired Qualifications

A. Master's Degree from an accredited institution (Education, Social Work, Communication, Administration, or related field)
B. Three (3) or more years of experience coordinating services for students with disabilities, providing advising, access and support plans, and/or accommodations to a diverse population of students in an inclusive college setting.
C. Two (2) or more years of experience reviewing documentation including educational assessments, medical records, psychological assessments, IEP plans, etc
D. One (1) or more years' experience using DRS Connect
E. One (1) or more years of experience using, or training others in, adaptive software (text-to-speech, magnification, etc.)
F. One (1) or more years of experience developing professional public presentation/training materials and presenting to a diverse population of stakeholders in a variety of environments (in person, online, webinars, etc.)

Special Working Conditions

Will be required to travel or be assigned to all Rio Salado locations. May require evenings or weekends. May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen
