Job Description

The Senior Enterprise Crisis Manager will prepare and execute strategies to address unexpected events, minimizing their impact on Allstate. This includes developing detailed action plans, ensuring clear communication among all stakeholders, and facilitating crisis response actions during a crisis. Key Responsibilities
  • Development and delivery of the crisis and incident management framework incorporating crisis and incident response planning, response and recovery protocols, crisis and incident response training and exercising
  • Establish appropriate systems, resources, and communication protocols to support the management of crisis events by the Crisis Management Teams
  • Support the activation and functioning of the Crisis Management Team, including facilitation of crisis management events, management of crisis management rosters, and onboarding new crisis members
  • Research, analyze and evaluate current crisis and incident programs as well undertake crisis management after action reports and contribute to the development, review and continuous improvement of the program and capabilities
  • Develop education, training and test cases, and scenarios to exercise, remediate and continuously build crisis and incident management capability and performance
  • Monitor, critically review, audit and report on the crisis and incident status and performance of critical business areas
  • Represent the organization on industry and regulatory crisis management working groups and Committees
  • Review the response plan, identify what did and did not work, and make any necessary changes
  • Ensure crisis management processes comply with industry regulations and standards
  • Maintain crisis management tool operational readiness and facilitate tool exercises
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; May also have advanced degree
  • 8 or more years of related experience
Functional Skills
  • Strong understanding, knowledge of and experience in application of crisis and incident management principles, practices and methods of implementation in a large and complex organization
  • Proven ability to engage with stakeholders, lead and facilitate application of key management process to achieve positive organizational outcomes
  • Demonstrated planning, project management skills and experience in delivery of organization wide initiatives
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills and superior interpersonal skills, including facilitation, negotiation and consultation skills to influence key senior stakeholders
  • Strong research, analytical and innovative problem solving skills in a changing and complex environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in achieving goals and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Advanced time management skills including ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and organize, and create alignment and buy in from clients and direct reports
  • Demonstrated clear, concise and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish, manage and leverage relationships with internal and external partners; demonstrated success in the development of people
  • Ability to analyze data and apply it to complex problem resolution

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $112,000.00 - 196,750.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
