Position Title: 21^st Century Community Learning Center Program Assistant Location: Nestucca Valley K-8 Reports To: 21^st Century Community Learning Center Director Salary: $20.00/hr Job Type: Part time, temporary Hours: 14 hours per week Monday through Thursday, 2:15 pm - 5:45 pm. Date Available: Sept. 18, 2024 for training. Program begins Sept. 23, 2024 Program Description: The 21 ^st Century Community Learning Centers after school program is entering its seventh year in the district. The program engages with students outside of school hours and provides opportunities for academic enrichment, a broad array of youth development activities, and family engagement offerings. The program will function in support of students and teachers through in-person tutoring and homework support, and will connect with students through enrichment activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned. Participates in student tutoring and homework assistance. Engages with students and their families to support homework completion, understanding assignments and concepts and developing and practicing good study and homework habits. Contributes to and participates in after school activities, project preparation and delivery. Maintains confidentiality. Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Works collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff and customers at all organizational levels. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Able to utilize Canvas, Excel, electronic calendars and other computerized methods of data collection, entry and distribution Comfortable tutoring students grades 1-12 in Math, English and Writing Good communicator and collaborator, enjoys working as part of a team Flexible with regard to job duties and assignments Able to perform work from home, in a remote working environment without distractions as well as in person Spanish speaking/writing desirable
