Leveraging their construction management and field experiences, the Construction Director will lead the management and oversight of day-to-day operations and workflows of our site infrastructure development work (design, permitting, construction, etc.) across CIS's national portfolio. Additionally, the position will provide industry, technical, and analytical support to CIS's business development and marketing efforts. This role will have responsibility for CIS's nationwide portfolio of development work (>$50M per year). CIS's preference is for this hire to work out of our Seattle, Chicago, Milwaukee, Kansas City, or the DC area offices (that are near our large asset programs), but for exceptional candidates, remote locations will be considered. We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager, or Design Manager with a minimum of fifteen years of experience in sitework design and construction and a working knowledge of the design process and project management principles. The ability and motivation to integrate social equity principles across the work, and a strong motivation to care for the underserved communities is an essential attribute of this role. The role involves managing the risk and improving the efficiency of our local delivery partners for the successful completion of CIS's extensive development of site infrastructure projects. Experience should include managing the design process, performing preconstruction services, and managing construction of site infrastructure systems and a proven track record of successfully completing all phases of projects including planning, conceptual design and permitting through construction completion and project close-out. This position reports to the Managing Director of CIS's Asset Management Services. Key Responsibilities:

Position Location Requirements As stated previously, our strong preference is for this hire to work out of our Seattle, Chicago, Milwaukee, Kansas City, or the DC area offices (that are near our large asset programs), but for exceptional candidates, remote locations will be considered. The candidate will also need to attend other in-person meetings as required and should anticipate approximately 25% travel time throughout the year. Exceptional Benefits for Exceptional Team Members The pay range for this position is $175k to $225k. However, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
