EnSafe is accepting applications for a full-time GIS Technician/Analyst based out of our Jacksonville, Florida, or Nashville, TN office. EnSafe, is an employee-owned, global environmental consulting and engineering firm. We strive to provide cutting-edge, creative solutions for our clients. EnSafe specializes in custom solutions in Environmental Management and Planning, Civil Design Engineering, Environmental Restoration, Natural & Water Resources, Health & Safety, and Technology with offices operating within the US.

What We Are Looking For

As a GIS Technician, you will work on a wide range of projects in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. EnSafe emphasizes empowering staff to practice our profession passionately and without limitations.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Manage client data and perform database extraction regularly to make timely data updates.
  • Code custom Python script tools to manipulate data sets and produce maps for analysis and presentations.
  • Explore Python language to develop similar scripts.
  • Used survey-precision GPS equipment to update municipal asset data.
  • Determine the location, documentation and digitizing of construction/as-built drawings.
  • Map creation and editing from the digitization and extraction from aerial photography and commercial imagery.
  • Imagine, design, and develop a population estimation and visualization application to illustrate the makeup of populations surrounding regulated facilities.
What You Need:
  • B.S. degree in GIS or a related discipline is required
  • Experience with ArcGIS 10.x, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Online, and various Esri apps (Collector, Survey 123, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong work ethic, responsible, and dependable.
  • Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
  • Programming experience is a plus.
  • Professional Certification: PreGISP or GISP
  • Experience with GPS field data collection is required (DroneDeploy, Trimble, Collect)
  • FAA Drone Certified
