The Manager, Vendor Management, is responsible for overseeing and managing relationships with vendors, including a significant call center vendor among other key partnerships and contracts for Lumos. The Vendor Manager will be tasked with evaluating vendor performance, forecasting future needs of the business, negotiating contracts, identifying improvements, and creating cost-saving measures. This involves effective communication, customer service/relations, vendor compliance, negotiation skills, and a variety of other topics that keep our vendor relationships strong.

Essential Functions:



  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our primary call center vendor
  • Point of contact with vendor questions and issues.
  • Ongoing resolution and communication with new vendors and preexisting
  • Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly,and annual call forecasts including weekly updates and data on changes in forecast and meetings.
  • Acts as first point of contact for vendor related issues
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms of service with vendors
  • Monitor and evaluate new vendors and preexisting vendors performance against contracted KPIs
  • Reviews all vendor invoices for billing accuracy. In accordance with contractual agreements and performance reporting.
  • Resolves any billing disputes with vendor
  • Evaluate vendors to ensure they are within budget
  • Identify opportunities for new vendors.
  • Maintain vendor reports alongside internal reporting
  • Ensures vendor quality is associated with metrics
  • Monitors and scores vendor calls monthly and share details and issues with vendor
  • Communicate effectively with leaders throughout the business
  • Maintain reports on vendors and manage risk
  • Implement best practices and processes to better the organization
  • Completes vendor quality checklists and conducts yearly audits


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:



  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors
  • Function as the primary point of contact for vendor-related inquiries and issues
  • Address and resolve any disputes or issues that arise with vendors in a timely manner
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to ensure favorable terms for the company
  • Review and finalize vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Vendor Management Systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Use data driven insights to provide comprehensive reports on vendor performance & improvement trajectories



Other Experience & Requirements:




  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field
  • 5+ years of Vendor Management
  • Vendor Management in the telecommunications industry and/or with call center operations is a plus


Physical Requirements



  • Sedentary office work requiring near-constant use of sight, speech, hearing, comprehension, and computer and peripheral equipment.
  • Computer and common office equipment
