Environmental Services Manager

The Environmental Services Department at Porter Medical Center is hiring for an Environmental Services Manager to join their team!

JOB SUMMARY:

Manage, coordinates and evaluates the activities of the Environmental Services, Linen, Laundry and Janitorial Departments. Ensure the environment is in a sanitary, attractive and safe condition. Comply with all State & Town regulatory requirements, OSHA Federal Register Rules & Regulations, CMS Standards, Porter Hospital and Helen Porter Infection Control Policies & Procedures and ES, Laundry & Linen Department Policies & Procedures. They are expected to work collaboratively with other department managers, clinical staff, support staff and other organization personnel.

EDUCATION:

• High school graduate or GED.

EXPERIENCE:

• Management skills resulting from at least three years supervisory experience in a healthcare facility or similar healthcare setting.

• Knowledge of Town, State and Federal Regulations and any other regulatory requirements to perform job.

• Knowledge of housekeeping equipment, supplies and chemicals. Must be knowledgeable in the Right-To-Know Law and Hazardous Communication Program and SDS information.

• Knowledge of floor and carpet care and industrial floor care equipment knowledge.

• Knowledge on industrial washers and dryers for proper functioning laundry operations.

• Demonstrates ability to provide leadership.

• Professional appearance and attitude.

• Ability to plan for department and adaptability to change.

• Satisfactory references.
