We are looking for a Service Sales Manager to join our Americas Industrial Measurements team at Vaisala Inc. located in Burlington, MA. Step into this pivotal role as a Service Sales Manager, where you will spearhead the growth of our Americas service offerings through innovative sales and marketing strategies.

What's your role?

You will be part of our Americas Industrial Measurements Sales team, made up of dedicated technical sales professionals. In this role, you'll collaborate with key stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales teams and Life Cycle Services for strategic planning and enhancing service offerings. You will report to Yani Bettencourt, Vice President, Industrial Measurements, Americas.




  • Establish and execute an outreach process to the customer installed base to boost revenue from services, upgrades, calibrations, repairs, training, and spares.





  • Establish competitive market pricing in the Americas.





  • Provide comprehensive support for After Sales inquiries and promote service offerings.





  • Work closely with Life Cycle Services leaders and sales teams to enhance service offerings, develop effective channel partners, and secure repeat business.





  • Educate sales and channel partners on service offerings and contribute to messaging strategy with marketing teams.





  • Regularly analyze data through reports and dashboards to track progress, adjust strategies, and provide updates to management.





Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): The effectiveness of the Service Sales Manager will be evaluated based on the following metrics:




  • Size of Opportunity Pipeline: Total amount, monetary value, and probability of potential service sales within the pipeline.





  • Activity Metrics: These include the frequency and quality of quoting and the acquisition of new service customers.





  • Sales Performance: Service Sales revenue achieved against targets.





What will you bring?





  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in service and solution sales, or related fields such as HVAC, environmental monitoring systems, and measurement sensors.





  • Experience with recurring revenue models and customer retentionis highly beneficial.





  • Proficient understanding of technical documentation and the ability to manage long-term, independent projects.





  • Commitment to continuous learning with the capacity to maintain expert-level knowledge of market trends, products, and applications.





  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, excel in collaborative environments, and maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction.





  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools such as Salesforce.





  • Ability to travel up to 50%.





  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
